For almost a decade, I've brought my camera with me around the world, capturing quiet sunrises in the Amazon, stunning vistas across the American southwest, and the beautiful fall colors of New England.

Chasing light is my home for theses photos online, describing both the quintessential act of photography—as a means of measuring and manipulating light and color—and the all-too-common way of life for the nature photographer—waking up hours before sunrise to drive to a location or checking the weather or position of the sun before a shoot.
